Denis Leyendecker is the son of a retired cabinet maker. He grew up in a home physically connected to the cabinet shop, so it was inevitable that he would work with wood. After high school he started building pole sheds and within a couple of years he was working for a residential contractor. Eventually, he was hired on as a framing foreman by a large-volume home builder in the St. Cloud area.

In 1986, Denis moved to Rochester where he did subcontracting work both as a frame and trim carpenter. Since 1994, he has been a general contractor in both the Rochester and St. Cloud areas.

Denis is married and the proud father of four children, all of whom at one time or another contributed to the construction process. They still work behind the scenes at the computer typing up specifications sheets or his youngest son, a banker, assists Denis from that angle Two of his children serve in the military, one in the Marine Corps and another another in the Army. Denis and Mary are watching their family grow, and currently boast of their four grandchildren.

Giving back to the community is something Denis takes very seriously. It is also one of his biggest passions. In addition to sponsoring several youth sports teams, Denis gives of his time, talent, and treasure to his church, the school system, military organizations and other worthwhile non-profit organizations.
